LATEST NEWS!

Tesco Green Schools of the Year Competition Winners announced for 2010!

Yet again their was a simply fantastic response to the Green Schools of the Year Competition ran by Action Renewables in association with our Green Partner TESCO

We recieved hundreds of nominations from schools all over Northern Ireland, most importantly the nominations were from students who know their school is really good at teaching academic, environmental and practical issues in a really important way.

Although we have selected a number of these schools as winners using a judging process we would like to stress the sheer quality and volume of enteries was even higher than last year. We can only conclude that the real winners here are the students of Northern Ireland!

Tesco Green Schools of the Year 2009

 Winners Announced!

Action Renewables in association with our Green Partner TESCO have been searching for ‘ Northern Ireland’s ‘Greenest Schools of the year 2009’.

The interest in the competition was amazing with over 900 separate entries representing over 300 individual schools across the province! But not only was the sheer volume of entries astounding - but the quality of the individual entries was excellent too!

The amazing job our schools all over the country are doing in promoting our environment made our job of judging hugely difficult. However after much debate, comparison and effort, the judges are finally ready to announce the awards for both the Primary and Post-Primary Green Schools of the Year 2008!
